Diversity Arrays Technology ACT Exporter of the Year 2026
Diversity Arrays Technology (DArT) was named ACT Exporter of the Year at the ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards in Canberra on 8 September 2026. We were also recognised with the award in the Sustainability and Green Economy category, and will represent the ACT at the Australian Export Awards later this year.
These awards come 25 years after DArT was founded – recognising that we now export genotyping services, software and data analysis to breeders and researchers in more than 100 countries.
“DArT is a company founded on a mission: to work towards global food security through improving biodiversity, particularly in the poorer parts of the world,” said our founder and Managing Director, Andrzej Kilian. “This award is a real endorsement of the work we do and our determination to make a difference.”
The ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards recognise Canberra businesses that earn export income and build the territory’s reputation abroad.
Our team of more than 70 people work across laboratory services, software development, genomic, ecological and environmental data analytics, AI, and research and development. We operate out of Canberra, with teams in Kenya, Mexico and Poland.
“These people are really who this award is all about. They share the dedication and commitment to the ideals on which DArT was founded. I can’t thank them enough,” said Andrzej.
“They consistently win the trust of our customers and collaborators around the world. This recognition will help us to achieve even more in the future.”
Building on earlier recognition
This is our second ACT Chief Minister’s Export Award. Our first came in 2021 in the Agribusiness, Food and Beverages category: DArT Awarded ACT Chief Minister’s Export Award.
We have kept growing since then, including Gondwana Genomics adds further diversity to DArT.
What happens next
We now go forward as an ACT finalist at the Australian Export Awards, to be announced later in 2026. We are hiring in Canberraacross laboratory, software and data roles.
