Here’s the DArT team, celebrating the first all-staff meeting at our new facility in Mitchell, ACT. DArT now operates in two locations – including the labs and offices at Canberra University.
The extra space in Mitchell means that we can look ahead to new projects we’ve been keen to start. Given DArT’s mission to support sustainable food security around the world, this will be a key focus. The new facility creates opportunities for partnerships and ongoing collaboration with local companies aligning with DArT’s mission.
At the team meeting, a key topic of discussion was how DArT can best increase our use of AI to improve our operations and further enhance our genomics and data analytics platforms. As a science and technology organisation, we see AI as a way to strengthen the products and services we provide, supported by our in-house AI and Machine Learning team.
Our new facilities represent an important step in expanding DArT’s capability, allowing us to deliver greater positive impact through our work in agriculture, research and biodiversity applications.
