
Vanessa Caig
Vanessa joined DArT in May 2003 as a Laboratory Technician and Purchasing Officer. Since then she has gained strong experience in almost all aspects of DArT’s microarray work. Her tasks within the company have evolved quite significantly and she is now doing the book-keeping and much of the business administration of the company.
After completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Queensland, majoring in physiology and pharmacology, Vanessa worked with Dr Peter Koopman assisting with the discovery of genes involved in mammalian sex differentiation and development. She also worked at Phenomix Australia on the identification of genetic mutations in mice using ENU mutagenesis.
Born in Melbourne, Vanessa has lived in multiple locations within south-eastern Australia but has now settled in Canberra with her husband and two young children.
