Adriane Machado

 

Adriane joined the DArT team in 2009. She contributes to the development and improvement of DArT Genotyping using the Next Generation Sequencing platform. Adriane manages the work flow for DArT genotyping, provides staff training and performs laboratory work. Recently Adriane started working on downstream data analysis of DArT markers and SNPs as well as report generation for our clients.   

 

Originally from Brazil, Adriane graduated in Biology at University UniCeub in Brasilia. For the first four years of her career, Adriane worked in tissue culture at EMBRAPA, Brazil. She moved to Australia in 1999, where Adriane started working in Molecular Biology at CAMBIA. Adriane did her PhD in Plant Molecular Biology at Australian National University (ANU), conducting the research at CSIRO laboratories. Adriane then engaged in a postdoctoral fellowship with CSIRO for three years where she gained extensive experience in research and project management.

 

In her spare time, Adriane enjoy family life and love her workouts at the gym.
